Without Excuse

without excuse

For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and diving nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.  Romans 1:20

As I took my son backpacking we slept under the stars and bright moon with wonderment of God’s creation and power. We wondered how that big ball stayed perfectly in orbit reflecting the light of the sun, so much light and even though (like us) it’s just dirt and the surface is rough all over, we also reflect the light of God’s Son. We wondered about the expanse of stars that go on for eternity and how that is a great example of our life continuing on into eternity. We are so small and God’s power is so beyond us, yet he desires to have a relationship with us! The good news of the gospel is all over creation and deeply intertwined.

Get out, get away, turn off and sit in his presence to enjoy His vastness.

The wonderment continues…..

Challenge

  • When was the last time you sat and stared at God’s creation?
  • How can you see God’s word woven into His creation? (ex.) Our is calendar based on earth’s orbit, which gives us 7 days a week and God created the earth in 7 days. One day of rest is part of that week and creation.
  • What amazes you about creation? (ex.) trees starting from a seed and growing into a towering forest that sustains us in air and wood, heat, homes, shade. Common! They even have a blood source like we do that is useful for glue and medicines.
