SFC girls hut trip

women in the backcountry

Join us March 23-27 in Aspen, Colorado for the first-ever SFC Girls Hut Trip! We know that skiing or snowboarding off-resort can be intimidating, so we’ve designed this trip to be a memorable time for girls and women of all experience levels. We’re excited that there will be some girls who have never done a backcountry tour and others who are well-seasoned. Whatever your comfortability, we invite you to join us, gain confidence in your skills, be celebrated in your wins, and be encouraged in your faithall while in a loving community of women!

When and where

This trip be taking place March 23-27 in Aspen, Colorado. To accommodate for winter travel and ease of logistics, we are offering an optional night at a hotel on the 22nd for an additional $65. Just let us know when you register if you’d like this!

who

This trip will be most enjoyable for adult and young adult women who possess at least intermediate skiing and snowboarding skills. Backcountry experience not required, but a willingness to learn before and during the trip is! 😉 More details below. If you or someone you know is younger (pre-teen or teen) and would like to attend, please reach out to us and we can confirm this is a good fit before registering!

the plan

This trip was designed with three goals in mind: community, confidence, and celebration. This means that the entire weekend will be full of all three!
Community: There is a special bond that happens when you spend time together in the backcountry. We plan on having amazing experiences together and deepening friendships!
Confidence: The backcountry can be a bit intimidating, with all the gear and safety measures. This trip is a safe place to gain confidence and knowledge in the backcountry setting and in hut life, and we hope this ignites your passion to get into the backcountry more! (Disclaimer: This trip will not make you an expert or prepare you to lead trips on your own. That comes through much training and practice!)
Celebration: We’ll get to have so much fun in the outdoors together: worshipping Jesus, laughing, playing games, taking in the views, having meaningful conversations, and of course growing through challenges!
