The Southwest region is an eccentric combination of shred locations. From the high, cold, snowy Rockies to the wet Northern California Sierras to the warm and slushy San Bernadino Mountains of SoCal and even into the dry desert climate of New Mexico’s Sangre de Cristo mountains, the Southwest region experiences all types of snow conditions and covers the whole gamut of mini resort towns and major metro shred communities. It’s the indecisive and quirky member of the SFC USA regional family.
While we strive to honor the intended purpose of every donation whenever possible, this contribution is made with the understanding that Snowboarders & Skiers for Christ and it’s board of directors has complete control and administration over the use of the donated funds.
Regional Director
Hello! My name is Drew Loring and I am the SFC Southwest Regional Director. I am from Arnold, CA, and I and grew up heavily involved with the Snowboard and Ski community at Bear Valley Ski Resort (not to be confused with Big Bear!). My involvement within this community over the years played a huge role in shaping my heart towards snowboarders and skiers all over. I know first-hand that the culture and lifestyles around our sports can be brutal, empty, and taxing to say the least. Which is why I am so stoked to get to serve in this role with SFC, where I get to work with people all over who are eager to bring the hope of Jesus Christ into our little mountain communities. My love for the Sierra Nevada mountain range and the ski resorts within this area is so big, and my hope is to see SFC activity expand specifically in this part of the Southwest Region of the United States!
